TERMS AND CONDITIONS

By submitting entries to the Ini’Vert Eco Warrior Competition, each entrant confirms and warrants that:

General

​

  • they are the sole author of the entry and that it is their original work;

  • they own the copyright and any other intellectual property rights of the image/poem/sculpture;

  • they have not licensed or disposed of any rights in the entry that would conflict with uses to be made by Ascencia Ltd; and

  • A maximum of one entry may be entered per applicant.

  • You should not cause willful harassment of wildlife, damage to the environment, put any individual or animal in danger, or infringe on the rights of any other person.

  • Digital adjustments on photos and videos are not acceptable. Cropping is allowed.

  • they have the permission of anyone pictured in the image (or, where the image shows any persons under 18, the consent of their parent/guardian) for the usage rights required by Ascencia Ltd and will indemnify Ascencia Ltd against any claims made by any third parties in respect of such infringement. You are responsible for obtaining the necessary releases from the individuals depicted, and must be able to provide copies of those releases to Ascencia Ltd upon request.;

  • Entries must not have been published, self-published, published on a website or made public on social media or broadcast.

  • Entries must be written in English/French/Creole.

What to send:

​

We are looking for ecological solutions for residential use and common daily life activities.

Participants must send a Photo or video accompanied with a description of their work/initiative – see below criteria of selection.

 

Specifications for Photo


The closing date for submissions is 19th June 2021 at 10 pm. All submissions received after this time will NOT be eligible. Please note that sending is not proof of receipt.

Judging Process:

 

On the 14th of June, a first selection of 10 entries will be made. Selection will be done by a panel of judges from Ascencia ltd.


These 10 pre-selected entries will be posted on our Facebook Page for Public Voting for one week.

Our panel of Judges will select entries based upon the below criteria.

  • Creativity

  • Innovation (Out of the Box Thinking) leading to R&D

  • Relevance of Project to set scope

  • Longevity/Durable Project?

  • Adherence to Social/ethic values (Poverty/Solidarity)

  • Economic Yield/Financial Viability

  • Number of Potential CO2 emissions avoided/Trees Saved

  • Social Acceptance of Project

 

Judging will be anonymous. Judges will assess entries to establish winners and collectively agree on competition winner.


The organisers will select judges from a wide interest pool to ensure objectivity. The decision of the organisers is final and no correspondence will be entered into concerning the competition’s judging and organisation.

Winner Announcement:

​

Judges will choose the winner.

The category winners will be announced on the 28th of June or 30th of June 2021 (depending on the selection done by the public or/and Ascencia's team) through the Facebook Page of all 7 malls and at the prize giving event on the 2nd July 2021.

Usage Rights:

​

By entering the competition, you grant Ascencia Ltd a non-exclusive, irrevocable license to reproduce, enlarge, publish or exhibit, on any media, the images for any purpose to further its aims and objectives.

 

More specifically to use:

  • At a presentation evening.

  • On the Ascencia Ltd and malls website, Ascencia Ltd and malls social media channels and Ascencia Ltd and malls email communications.

  • In the Ascencia mall Magazine (Trends by Ascencia) and associated Ascencia Ltd products for the purposes of promoting the competition.

  • In the local press for the purposes of publicising this competition.

  • In conjunction with the main sponsors to further promote this competition.

The organisers will make every reasonable effort to ensure that name credits are given to any material published in any medium.

​

Data Protection:

​

We will keep your details on our secure database to enable us to use your art/material (see usage rights) send you information about the different competition organized by the group. We value your support and do not pass on information about you to any group or individual outside Ascencia Ltd.

​

Indemnity and Limitation of Liability:

​

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Ascencia Ltd excludes its liability for any loss, damage, injury, cost or expense suffered by you, whether directly or indirectly and howsoever caused, in connection with the competition and use of any prize. Nothing in these terms and conditions shall exclude Ascencia Ltd liability for death or personal injury arising from Ascencia Ltd’s own negligence or any other liability that cannot, as a matter of law, be excluded.

You agree to indemnify Ascencia Ltd and keep Ascencia Ltd indemnified against any loss, damage, injury, cost or expense suffered by Ascencia Ltd as a result of your entry into the competition, including (but not limited to) any claim of infringement of intellectual property rights made by any third party.

General:

​

The information given in these Terms & Conditions is correct, but Ascencia Ltd reserves the right to change any of it without prior notice. By entering the competition, entrants will be deemed to have agreed to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. Any breach of these Terms by an entrant will void their entry. If a breach has occurred but is discovered after the award of a prize, then the prize winners may require the return of that prize.

Ascencia Ltd Web Privacy Policy applies to the competition.

You agree that if you are a winner, you will take part in and cooperate fully with reasonable publicity and to the use of your name and photograph in such publicity, for example, attendance at an awards event.
